ILMINSTER ARTS CENTRE open Competition

We're delighted to let you know that the Ilminster Open Exhibition 2023 (23 May - 16 June 2023) is open for entries again.

The Ilminster Arts Centre is inviting all artists to submit work for our annual judged Open Exhibition 2023. The aim is to celebrate the work of established and emerging artists living and working in the South West.

As last year, a total of £800 in prize money will be awarded, including the Visitors' Choice Award, voted for by our visitors during the month-long exhibition. We also have a prize for emerging artists, 17-25 years of age, awarded by Somerset Art Works. The prize is a 12-month, free SAW membership, which includes access to all their artist opportunities and exposure on their website.

In addition, each winner will be invited to participate in our Prize Winners' Exhibition, to be held during January 2024.

Work in the following media will be considered for exhibiting: paintings, original prints, drawings, sculpture, ceramics and textiles, but not photography.
