YEOVIL ART GROUP WILL BE REPRESENTED AT the

Open Day to celebrate the NEW Sanctuary Community Project at the former Vicarage Street Methodist Church, The Quedam, Yeovil.

Saturday 26th September 2026, 10.00 to 3.00.

Although not strictly an Exhibition as such, Yeovil Art Group will be represented at the forthcoming ‘Family Fun Open Day’ on Saturday, 26th September, to celebrate the transformation of this former Methodist Church into “The Sanctuary Community Project”. 

To quote: “The Open Day is all about celebrating this new project and its exciting name change, marking the church’s transformation into a vibrant hub, opening its doors wide to the entire local community!”   It’s set to be a fantastic day of celebration filled with:

·       Live music and performances from local talent.

 

·       Theatre group performances showcasing our vibrant arts community.

 

·       Kids' activities to keep the little ones entertained.

 

·       A grand raffle with brilliant prizes up for grabs!

 

The Project Managers have invited us to showcase our Group & share our Ideas, to be a key part of the celebration by running an Information Table.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to share what we do with a wider local audience; engage with visitors and highlight our contribution to the community; recruit new members and grow our group, which will mean that we can do more for our members.

Each hosted table has been asked to contribute in the following ways:-

Provide refreshment support by either donating an hour to helping serve refreshments and welcoming guests or bringing along a cake, biscuits or baked item to add to the tea table.  A raffle prize is also invited from those who take part.  

All proceeds will go directly back into supporting the community project.

So, Chris Gregory and I will be there, with a table full of ideas, newly designed leaflets and encouragements to potential new members to join us.  We would be delighted by any offers to spend an hour or two at the table to give us a break or to donate a raffle prize or cake - or just to join in the fun!
